Refund policy

At Gary's Auto Recycling, we are committed to providing quality recycled automotive parts at competitive prices. Because we sell recycled and used automotive parts, inventory is unique and availability is subject to prior sale.

Please review the following policy carefully before purchasing.

Warranty Coverage

Most used parts sold by Gary's Auto Recycling include a 90-Day Standard Warranty from the date of purchase unless otherwise stated on the invoice, product listing, or sales documentation.

This warranty covers defects that prevent the part from performing its intended function under normal use and proper installation.

Due to the nature of recycled automotive parts, normal wear and cosmetic imperfections are not considered defects and are not covered under warranty.

Examples include but are not limited to:

  • Scratches
  • Dents
  • Surface rust
  • Paint imperfections
  • Fading or discoloration
  • Dirt or staining
  • General wear consistent with age and previous use

These conditions are common for recycled automotive parts and do not affect the functionality of the component.

Covered Product Categories

The 90-Day Standard Warranty may apply to:

  • Engines
  • Transmissions
  • Transfer Cases
  • Differentials
  • Suspension Components
  • Steering Components
  • Wheels
  • Body Parts
  • Interior Components
  • Most Mechanical Components

Warranty coverage may vary depending on the specific part and its condition.

Extended Warranty Coverage

Gary's Auto Recycling does not currently offer extended warranty programs.

Returns

Returns may be accepted within 30 days of delivery or pickup, subject to inspection and approval.

To qualify for a return, the item must:

  • Be in the same condition as sold
  • Not be altered, modified, painted, repaired, or disassembled
  • Include all original identification markings, labels, tags, and security seals
  • Not show signs of misuse, abuse, overheating, contamination, or improper installation

All returns must be approved by Gary's Auto Recycling prior to being shipped back.

Unauthorized returns may be refused.

A restocking fee may apply to approved returns.

Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

Customers are responsible for return shipping costs unless the return is the result of an error made by Gary's Auto Recycling.

Non-Returnable Items

The following items are generally non-returnable:

  • Special order items
  • Parts sold as "As-Is"
  • Parts sold as "For Parts Only"
  • Custom-cut components
  • Modified electrical components

  • Parts damaged after delivery

Incorrect Parts

If Gary's Auto Recycling supplies an incorrect part due to our error, we will work with the customer to provide:

  • A replacement part
  • An exchange
  • A refund

Customers should notify us immediately upon receiving the item.

Compatibility Responsibility

Customers are responsible for verifying compatibility before purchasing and installing any part.

Whenever possible, customers should provide:

  • VIN Number
  • Year
  • Make
  • Model
  • Engine Size

Vehicle production changes can occur within the same model year. Matching part numbers and vehicle information is the customer's responsibility unless compatibility has been specifically confirmed by our staff.

Gary's Auto Recycling is not responsible for labor costs or related expenses resulting from the purchase of an incompatible part.

Electrical & Electronic Components

Electrical and electronic components are tested whenever possible prior to sale.

Because modern vehicles contain complex electronic systems, customers are responsible for ensuring compatibility before installation.

Some electronic components may require:

  • Programming
  • Calibration
  • Coding
  • Relearning procedures

These services are not included with the purchase of the part.

Warranty coverage does not extend to failures caused by:

  • Improper installation
  • Programming errors
  • Voltage issues
  • Water intrusion
  • Vehicle wiring problems
  • Module coding issues

Examples include:

  • ECU / ECM modules
  • BCM modules
  • Control modules
  • Sensors
  • Displays
  • Audio systems

Used Parts Condition

All parts sold by Gary's Auto Recycling are recycled automotive components unless otherwise stated.

Customers acknowledge that used parts may show signs of previous use including:

  • Minor scratches
  • Cosmetic wear
  • Surface rust
  • Paint chips
  • Small dents
  • Fading
  • Staining
  • General aging

Such conditions are considered normal for used automotive parts and are not grounds for returns, refunds, or warranty claims.

Product photographs are provided for identification purposes and may not always represent the exact cosmetic condition of every part.

To maintain warranty coverage on engines, transmissions, transfer cases, and other major drivetrain components, proper installation procedures must be followed.
